Next.js
React framework for full-stack web apps — my choice for SMB SaaS products, NovaMX CRM and this site.
Next.js is a React framework with server components, routing, server actions and edge/serverless rendering, maintained by Vercel.
How I use it
- NovaMX CRM — public listings plus an internal lead tracker, with LLM classification on Supabase Edge Functions.
- SaaS Products for Small Businesses — Next.js + Supabase products for small businesses in my Independent AI & Full-Stack Engineer (Freelance) work: row-level security, Edge Functions, MercadoPago payments with webhooks, PWAs, PDF/Excel reporting and ETL jobs.
- This site — azanello.com is a Next.js App Router site with Tailwind CSS, hosted on Vercel.
Why it matters
For small-business products, Next.js on Vercel plus Supabase covers front end, server logic, auth, database and background functions with very little infrastructure to run — which keeps cost and maintenance proportionate to the client.
The same stack is a natural home for AI features: server components and route handlers can call LLMs or stream responses with the Vercel AI SDK without exposing keys to the browser.
