Tailwind CSS
Utility-first CSS framework — part of my front-end stack, used to style this site.
Tailwind CSS is a utility-first CSS framework; version 4 moves configuration into CSS with design tokens declared as theme variables.
How I use it
Tailwind is part of my front-end stack alongside React and Next.js. This site is styled with Tailwind CSS v4, with colours, typography and spacing defined as CSS custom properties rather than a JavaScript config.
Why it matters
Utility classes keep styling next to the markup and make design tokens consistent across components, which suits small teams and AI-assisted development alike: an agent can read and change a component's look without hunting through separate stylesheets.
Keeping tokens in CSS rather than JavaScript also means one source of truth for colours and spacing across the whole site.
