NestJS
Structured Node.js backend framework — I built AWS microservices with it for the Detecta Security Platform.
NestJS is a TypeScript framework for Node.js that brings modules, dependency injection and decorators to backend services.
How I use it
As a Software Engineer at Detecta, I built AWS microservices with NestJS for the Detecta Security Platform, integrating real-time GPS fleet tracking alongside a Firebase backend and Flutter apps. I have also contributed to Somnio AI Tools, an open-source CLI whose agent skills include NestJS health and best-practices audits.
Why it matters
NestJS's module structure and dependency injection give a team clear boundaries between services, which mattered for a platform serving three audiences — internal operations, customers and field drivers — from shared backend services.
Its conventions also make NestJS codebases easier to audit and onboard into, the same reason health and best-practice checks for it are worth automating.
