The Detecta Security Platform is the product I built and shipped at Detecta, a Mexican company that provides cargo transport custody: escorted and virtual custody of freight along high-risk routes, backed by a 24/7 monitoring center (detectasecurity.io).

The problem

Custody operations involve three very different audiences that need the same live picture of every shipment: the internal operations team watching units in real time, the customers whose cargo is on the road, and the drivers and custody staff in the field.

What was built

A triple-platform system, one product per audience:

  • Internal operations — tooling for the monitoring team.
  • Customers — visibility into their services and shipments.
  • Field drivers — a mobile app for the people on the road, published on Google Play.

Architecture

  • Real-time GPS fleet tracking integrated through Wialon.
  • Firebase as the backend-as-a-service layer.
  • AWS microservices built with NestJS for the server-side logic.
  • Apps built with FlutterFlow and Flutter.

Timeline

2022–2024. I started at Detecta as a LowCode Specialist (08/2022 – 07/2023), delivering production mobile apps with FlutterFlow and Flutter on Firebase, and continued as Software Engineer (07/2023 – 10/2024), when I built out the full platform including the Wialon integration and the NestJS services on AWS.
