One of my four lines of Independent AI & Full-Stack Engineer (Freelance) work: more than six white-label Flutter apps shipped from shared codebases. Each app reaches the stores with its own brand, configuration and store listing, while the product logic is written and maintained once (White-Labeling).

Architecture

  • Multi-flavor builds. Every brand is a build flavor with its own app identifiers, assets, theme and configuration. Adding a new brand is mostly configuration, not new code, and a fix in the shared code reaches every app.
  • State management — Bloc and Riverpod. Features keep business logic out of widgets so the same logic serves every brand and can be unit-tested in isolation. The choice between Bloc and Riverpod follows the codebase and team.
  • Subscriptions — RevenueCat. In-app purchases and subscriptions on both stores go through RevenueCat, which centralizes entitlements and receipt validation so each brand can have its own offerings without custom billing code.
  • Backend — Firebase and Supabase. Authentication, data and push are provided by a backend-as-a-service, chosen per product, keeping the apps free of custom server infrastructure where it isn't needed.
  • CI/CD — Codemagic and fastlane. Builds, signing and store uploads are automated per flavor. Shipping many apps by hand doesn't scale; a pipeline makes releasing every brand a repeatable step.

Why these choices

White-labeling multiplies everything: builds, store listings, signing identities and release notes. My architecture pushes all variation into configuration and automates the release path, so the cost of a new brand stays small and quality stays consistent across apps. The Flutter depth behind this work goes back to Detecta and continues in my open-source Akashi framework for Dart.
