Docker
Containers for packaging and deploying services — used for my real-time data system deployments.
Docker packages an application and its dependencies into a container image that runs the same way locally, in CI and in production.
How I use it
The Real-time Data Systems from my Independent AI & Full-Stack Engineer (Freelance) work — Python services with asyncio, FastAPI and WebSockets plus a Rust low-latency component — ship as containerized deployments, alongside long-running daemons supervised by Linux & systemd on a Linux VPS.
Why it matters
Containerized services are also straightforward to run on any cloud, whether AWS, GCP or a single virtual machine. Containers make multi-language systems — Python services next to a Rust component — reproducible across development and production, and decouple deployment from any one host or cloud.
They also let each component be scaled, restarted or replaced independently.
