GitHub Actions

GitHub's CI/CD and automation platform — runs the multi-job test pipeline of my Akashi monorepo.

  • #devops
  • #ci

GitHub Actions runs workflows — tests, builds, releases and automation — on events in a GitHub repository.

How I use it

Akashi's CI runs on GitHub Actions: the Dart workspace is analyzed and tested together, while packages that need the Flutter SDK or have conflicting dependencies run as separate jobs. The test suites are designed to pass offline, using fake models instead of API keys. For mobile delivery my CI/CD runs on Codemagic and fastlane.

Why it matters

For a 14-package monorepo with 13 packages published on pub.dev, CI is what keeps every package analyzable, tested and publishable on each change. Designing tests to run without network access or keys keeps the pipeline fast, free and deterministic.
