FastAPI
Async Python web framework — I use it to serve LangGraph agents and to build real-time, event-driven backends.
FastAPI is a high-performance, async Python web framework with type-hint-driven validation and automatic OpenAPI docs.
How I use it
- langgraph-langserve-starter — FastAPI hosts a LangGraph research agent via LangServe, with invoke, stream, batch and playground endpoints, health checks, Langfuse tracing and tests through FastAPI's
TestClient. - Real-time Data Systems — asyncio, FastAPI and WebSockets in the real-time, event-driven systems from my Independent AI & Full-Stack Engineer (Freelance) work.
Why it matters
FastAPI's async model suits both I/O-heavy agent APIs that stream tokens and real-time services that hold many WebSocket connections, and its automatic OpenAPI docs make an agent service self-describing for clients.
Combined with LangServe it turns a compiled agent graph into documented invoke, stream and batch endpoints with little glue code.
