Selenium is the long-standing open-source framework for automating web browsers via the WebDriver protocol, widely used for end-to-end testing.

How I use it

As IT Manager at California Fitness, I introduced QA automation with Selenium and Cypress covering the company's custom PHP/MySQL CRM and its mobile applications.

Why it matters

Selenium's WebDriver approach drives real browsers, which made it suitable for checking full CRM workflows end to end. Automated regression tests are what make weekly releases of a CRM used across several branches sustainable.

Test automation remains part of how I work today, in different forms — for example the offline test suites with fake models in my agent projects.
