Maestro
Declarative end-to-end UI testing for mobile apps — part of my mobile testing toolkit.
Maestro is an open-source framework for end-to-end UI testing of mobile (and web) apps using simple YAML flows, with built-in tolerance for flakiness.
How I use it
Maestro is part of my mobile testing toolkit for Flutter apps, complementing Playwright on the web. None of my public projects is dedicated to it.
Why it matters
It complements unit and widget tests, which cover logic but not full user journeys across screens. Mobile UI tests are notoriously flaky; Maestro's declarative flows and built-in waiting make them cheap enough to keep running.
Declarative flows are also easy for AI coding agents to read and extend.
