Playwright
Cross-browser end-to-end testing and automation framework — part of my testing toolkit.
Playwright is Microsoft's framework for end-to-end testing and browser automation across Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, with auto-waiting and tracing.
How I use it
Playwright is part of my testing toolkit for web apps, alongside Maestro for mobile. My earlier browser automation experience comes from introducing Selenium and Cypress at California Fitness. None of my public projects is dedicated to Playwright.
Why it matters
End-to-end tests catch regressions that unit tests miss — broken flows, layout issues and integration failures — and are increasingly how AI coding agents verify their own changes in a real browser.
Auto-waiting and built-in tracing also make browser tests less flaky and easier to debug than older approaches.
