PostgreSQL
The relational database under my Supabase products, agent checkpointing and vector search.
PostgreSQL is an open-source relational database known for correctness, extensions and rich SQL.
How I use it
- Supabase — every Supabase product is Postgres underneath, including row-level security in my SaaS Products for Small Businesses and NovaMX CRM.
- Conversational AI Agents — LangGraph state is checkpointed in Postgres, giving durable multi-turn conversations in my Independent AI & Full-Stack Engineer (Freelance) work.
- pgvector — the extension that turns Postgres into a vector store for RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
Why it matters
Using one database for relational data and agent checkpoints reduces moving parts: backups, permissions and transactions cover everything at once.
It also makes Durable Execution easier to reason about, because conversation state lives in the same well-understood store as the rest of the application.
