Anthropic's agentic coding CLI — my daily driver for spec-driven development, with custom agents and skills, and a topic I write about.
Claude Code is Anthropic's command-line coding agent. It reads and edits a repository, runs commands, and can be extended with subagents, skills, hooks and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.
How I use it
- Blog — I've written a practical guide to its agents and skills (Claude Code Agents and Skills: A Practical Guide) and covers it throughout my spec-driven development series, including a week-long diary of shipping this site with GSD (A Week of Spec-Driven Development With GSD). I built NovaMX CRM and this site with it.
- Somnio AI Tools — I contributed the Agent Skills plugin architecture with Claude Code plugin support to the open-source CLI.
- Spec-Driven Development — Claude Code is the execution engine for the spec-first workflow I advocate and template in Spec Dev Ralph.
