Cursor
AI-first code editor and CLI — part of my AI coding toolkit, supported by tooling I've contributed to.
Cursor is an AI-native code editor (a VS Code fork) with an agent mode and a command-line agent; it can also act as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) host.
How I use it
- Somnio AI Tools — I added Cursor CLI support to the open-source CLI that installs and runs agent skills across AI coding tools.
- mcp-deep-dive — the reference server runs over stdio for Claude Desktop, Cursor and Windsurf.
Cursor sits in my toolkit next to Claude Code, Windsurf and GitHub Copilot; I use whichever agent fits the task and write tooling that stays agent-agnostic.
Why it matters
Teams rarely standardize on a single AI coding tool, so skills, rules and workflows that work across Claude Code, Cursor and other agents are more durable than tool-specific setups — the idea behind the multi-agent registry I built for Somnio AI Tools.
